Version 3.6.8. Updated Easy Web Cam to better work with
Windows 7, both 32 and 64 bit versions. Tweaked the interface a bit and
make the sign up process easier.
Version 3.6.7. Added index.txt file in the install directory
of Easy Web Cam. You can now customise the index page that gets uploaded
with Easy Web Cam by editing the index.txt file. Improved the signup
routine for free web space. Added new iPhone app tab, the iPhone app is
coming soon.
Version 3.5.8, fixed a problem with some installations of Easy
Web Cam not saving registration data when the software was registered.
Up to Version 3.5.7. EasyWebCam is no longer shareware, it now
expires after a certain amount of usage. The free web space servers have
now been updated and the software has been updated to take advantage of
the new servers.
Version 3.5.1. Fixed a problem with the motion detection
routine not sending out emails. Easy Web Cam is no longer free. We had
to decide whether to stop producing and distributing Easy Web Cam or
whether to make it a shareware program. After STRONG feedback we decided
to go shareware. Hopefully you will think it's worth it and register

Version 3.4.5, Fixed a problem when using timed uploads, the
software sometimes stopped working at 11:59 (23:59). Added the option to
set and remember the process priority in Windows 2000, XP and 2003
Version 3.4.3 to 3.4.4, Fixed the upload problem where the
software would stop uploading after a short while, this was due to the
camera switching routine being turned on when there was only one camera
available. Also a few other minor fixes.
Version 3.4.2, Added preview on or off command to the menu. Some
users have request this feature to keep processor usage down. Other
small updates have been made.
Version 3.4.1, Added support for Windows Media Center, if you
have a media center machine you can now watch your live feed (or anybody
else's) using the Windows Media Center software. Download the plug in

Version 3.4.0, various small improvements, added no POP up option
for registered users.
Version 3.3.9, Finalised the viewing code that the user runs
in their web browser to view your live feed, running very well now, no
errors so far. You can alter the live view page but the instructions for
doing so won't be finished until the next update. Also fixed and
modified the image capture routine to speed it all up a lot, no more
file saving, it's all done in memory, resizing, altering compression
etc.
Version 3.3.6 to 3.3.8, MAJOR UPDATE:
Please RE UPLOAD the HTML page and GALLERY page when using this new
version as many things have changed. We now have a new http live server
component which is much more reliable that the old server. You can now
password protect the live video feed, you choose who can look. You can
now customize the Live Video Feed HTML page that is shown. Please read
the help file for information.
Version 3.3.5, Updated the pop up control to work with the
latest release of Windows XP SP2.. Also changed the ads slightly to
bring them up to date.
Version 3.3.4, some people are still getting the black image
upload problem (image is black but time stamp is changing). This update
should now fix that problem, please report if it doesn't.
Version 3.3.3, Added support for multiple input cards/capture
devices. You can now set Easy Web Cam to use whichever input you
like if your card supports it, instead of the default input 0. Fixed a
problem with some cams uploading black or stagnant images after a while
of running.
Version 3.3.2, Added support for most TV tuner cards now, you
can select the input option as well as the tv channel, format and
country code now.

Version 3.2.8, fixed a major issue with the WAP page/image
upload routine. Made big improvements to the video component which is

Version 3.2.7, Got a new free web account for the Adult sign ups,
the old server just couldn't handle the traffic. Hopefully it's all
sorted now. Also fixed a couple of issues with the live video feed
system.

Version 3.2.4, Fixed the problem with the banner being too small
on the first upload. Added an updated video capture component.
Version 3.2.3, Fine tweaking and very minor bug fixes. Just
general tidying up really. Also added more to the legal agreement when
signing up for free web space to cover the Data protection act
regualtions etc.
Version 3.2.2, Adult images are now allowed to be uploaded ONLY
if you sign up for adult space in the sign up routine. People wishing to
swap should click on the FTP tab, then click the RED sign up for free
space button, then select ADULT uploads in the sign up screen. You will
be given a different URL which isn`t part of the EasyFreeWebCam Gallery.
Also sorted a couple of small bugs out.
Version 3.2.1, Added a new feature for people using the
DynDns.org service. EasyFreeWebCam will now keep your DynDNS account
updated to that your free DynDNS URL will always point to your real IP
address. Also greatly improved the SmileCam support and made it look
better too. There were a few other minor bug fixes to the server feature
too. Added updated video capture component which should make
EasyFreeWebCam work better with TV Capture cards (using the composite
input usually). Finally added an option to choose your own Gallery Image
size (custom size) for people who didn't like the default options.
Version 3.2.0, Added support for SmilCam(tm). If you own a
SmileCam then you can now control the up, down, left and right options
as well as AUTO pan. Various other little fixes too. (for more SmileCam

Version 3.1.8 to 3.1.9, Altered the signup routine for the free
space to try and reduce the amount of ADULT content that is being
uploaded by pervs. Email activation is now required. Various other
fixes, all good of course, updated video component too. Greatly improved
the error messages give to the user when things go wrong during signup
and upload etc.. more info is now gives as to what could be wrong.
Version 3.1.7, Finally fixed the annoyance with applications
losing focus when EasyFreeWebCam was minimized and uploading at the same
time (it was a directX problem). Made some other minor updates.
Version 3.1.6, various small alterations and fixes. Altered the
gallery upload/rename feature a little to help a few users who's FTP
servers seem to be causing them problems. Fixed an issue where the live
server link disappeared when streaming was on (i.e. the upload frequency
was set less than every 1 minute).
Version 3.1.5, Fixed a major problem with the DON'T upload
time settings not working for certain locales. Tidied up some minor
settings.
Version 3.1.4, Added SMTP authentication and POP before SEND
features to the email out on Motion Detection routine. Some ISP`s
require these features before mail can be sent through them.
Version 3.1.3, fixed a couple of advert issues.. Added the
compensation factor setting to for fine tuning of the Live Video feed (
in the Server tab of Easy Web Cam ).
Version 3.1.2, Fixed a problem with a pop up message coming up
during normal running which said 'VIDEOC-1 Error during capture, error
code=000000'. Added more tutorials.
Version 3.1.1, Altered the live preview window POP UP to stay
alive a little longer. The problem seemed to be due to busy periods when
data transfer was very slow on the Internet, the live preview would
assume the feed had ended. Fixed a couple of minor bugs too.
Version 3.1.0, beta trials finished, final upload as 3.1.0...
Fixed a little problem with the detection routine when a new capture
device is found. Also, from now on, you will be able to open as many
Live Video Feed windows as you wish (so long as the up loader has
version 3.1.0 or higher).
Version 3.0.3, Updated video component, added more tutorials and
updated remote camera switching. Added a scanning feature; if you have
more than ONE capture device available then you can automatically scan
between your capture devices every x amount of seconds.

Version 3.0.0 - Major update - Added LOTS of new features. You
can now record the live video feed to an AVI file, either manually or on
motion detection. Now works using DirectX 8.1 or higher which gives much
greater image quality and support for MORE capture devices. You can now
switch between multiple devices (buttons on live preview screen) on the
fly. Lots of features have been added to the advanced settings window,
take a look. Added a new sponsor during the install routine (this is how
we support our FREE software). Various other bug fixes.
Version 2.9.6, Added support for the CM17A firecracker home
control interface (for X10 use). Fixed a small problem with the ads
showing incorrectly. Added a new feature in the X10 section to trigger a
device (or all devices) just before capture (e.g. turn a light on) and
then after capture, turn the device OFF again. Added feature relating to
the triggers, to allow triggers to work during a certain time frame only
(e.g. don't trigger during daylight hours etc). Added the ability to
play a .wav file when motion is detected (assuming you have motion
detection turned on), the default noise is a barking dog.
Version 2.9.5, Altered the capture routine to lower the
instances of Unable to capture messages due to the server being in use..
It now tries 3 times to capture before alerting you but the alters don`t
need intervention. Added more music and made a couple more bug fixes.
Version 2.9.4, Fixed a problem with adding your own Midi file
to the uploaded html page. Fixed a problem with the gallery images not
going to the correct size when choosing a big size.
Version 2.9.3, Altered the Live Video Feed capture routine to
stop the very rare case of the image being corrupt even though the
normal uploaded image was okay. Made a few other minor changes.
Version 2.9.2, Fixed the problem with the upload routine failing
after a few hours running (when in streaming mode). Added the ability to
change the background colour of the banner which is pasted on to the
uploaded image. Added the ability to add midi music to your uploaded
HTML page, choose from our default music or your own midi file.
Version 2.9.1, Updated the FTP engine to a new version with
much better error reporting. Improved this help file to work much better
with the EasyFreeWebCam interface.
Version 2.9.0, Added a great new messaging system (to the
user, YOU, not between people).. Also added a lot more accurate error
reporting with clearer messages about what went wrong. Improved both the
sign up routines and the Wizard routines to improve the reports and info
given back.
Version 2.8.9, Added a built in 'StartPage' for people who
know their IP or have an IP redirecting service and wish to connect
directly to the EasyFreeWebCam start page - from there you can view your
live cam and control any X10 devices. This eliminates the need for the
uploaded HTML page. Altered the border code that sits around the
uploaded image on the uploaded HTML page to look better and download
faster.
Version 2.8.8, added
support for HomeControl X10 device control over the internet and via the
EasyFreeWebCam interface. You can now log in to your server
(EasyFreeWebCam) and control up to 16 X10 device already installed in
your home. You'll see a new tab called X10. Just set up your devices in
there and then you'll get a new link on your uploaded HTML page to
connect to the control panel. Tidied up the interface and added a new
about window (right click task-bar icon).
Version 2.8.7, Added support for a range of BOLT ON's (or plug
ins or add ons etc.) for EasyFreeWebCam. Keep an eye out for remote
admin tools etc.. Also added a new feature for the server so that you
can choose to use your internal or external IP Address if you are using
a proxy server. (Proxy servers mask your real IP with their which means
the server won`t work unless you know your REAL ip address).
Version 2.8.6, fixed
a problem with the upload routine failing if you are using our FREE
space and wish to turn off the uploaded html page feature. Also fixed a
problem with the stealth mode feature. Added the functionality of
Stealth Mode staying stealth even if EasyFreeWebCam is forcefully closed
down and re started. Added the ability to set the LOCAL port for the
server feature. This is useful if you have more than ONE computer on
your network wishing to use EasyFreeWebCam's server feature. This is
also useful if you can't use the default port 80 for some reason (this
is in the advanced settings area).
Version 2.8.502,
(minor update), added Right Click menu to the 'Whos Watching You' list
(relating to the server feature) so that you can lookup/trace the
watching IP addresses. Altered the EXIT stealth mode feature so that you
cant see the typed in password. Fixed a small bug with the seasonal
effects feature.
Version 2.8.501 (minor update), added 'seasonal; effects to the
uploaded web page (optional).. Fixed a problem with the upload routine
that sent a SPACE BAR key command to anything that was running. Changed
the server a little for performance reasons. For those who were missing
the chat feature, added a CHAT link to the uploaded HTML page.
Version 2.8.5, Fixed a problem with the deformation preview
window (where you preview your chosen image effect). Improved the look
of the uploaded HTML page for the web cam. New feature, Stealth Mode,
you can now completely hide EasyFreeWebCam and make it look like it's
not running (with password protection!).
Version 2.8.3 to 2.8.4, Added a great new feature, live web
streaming. This is different to the streaming mode that was already
built in, this new mode serves the image straight from your computer to
the viewer, avoiding FTP uploading etc. You'll find a link to your LIVE
cam on the HTML page that gets uploaded when you do an FTP upload
(Capture and Upload). We have also set up a FREE URL service so that
people with LONG boring URLs to their web cam - can now sign up and get
an easy to remember URL like cam.LookItsMe.com/username and it will
simply redirect to the long boring URL. (go in to Advanced settings from
the main interface to use this feature). We will improve these new
features as we get feedback from real users (instead of beta testers).
Removed the chat feature completely, nobody ever (or hardly ever) used
it.
Version 2.8.2,
Completely re vamped the FREE SPACE upload routine to eliminate most
errors with it. The routine is running well now with a faster upload and
no errors. Added a FREE Gallery Feature for both Free web space users
and FTP users, paid users can have up to 40 images, free users can get
4. Altered the free space sign up routine too to improve it and avoid
problems during sign up. ADD NEW FEATURE, maximise web cam window, you
can now make the preview window FULL SCREEN if you wish to see a big
screen view of your web cam (Use RIGHT click menu for options). Fixed a
problem with the disconnect feature (if dial up was instigated by
EasyFreeWebCam), you can now choose whether or NOT to disconnect from
the Internet after the image has been uploaded.
Version 2.8.1,
Improved the dial up features for dial up users. Easy Web Cam will
not persistently try to dial up to the Internet for as many minutes as
you tell it to (in the Xtras tab). Even if your connection fails, Easy
Free Web Cam will force another connection attempt until it times out.
Also added a better disconnection routine, if you choose to disconnect
when finished uploading.
Version 2.8.0, Added a great new feature, web cam gallery. Basically
you now have another HTML page on the internet which can show UP TO the
last 40 images which have been up loaded (this is customizable from 4
images up to 40). Also fixed a major problem with the compression factor
of the up loaded image, it's now working fine. Finally altered the force
a connection routine for dial up users who kept getting a 'Winsock is
blocking communications' message. Read the Trouble shooting section (of
help file) for more info.
Version 2.7.1 to 2.7.2,
Added an advanced users section (components mentioned separately). Moved
image archiving option in to Advanced users section, added an option to
change the filename of the uploaded image also in to advanced users
section. Added TEN (10) image effects in to the advanced settings
window, from Blur effect to a great looking Negative effect. Added
Brightness and Contrast settings to the advanced settings for the main
up loaded image.
Version 2.7.0, Changed the capture icon back to normal (didn't go down
well). Fixed the motion detection problem which caused some people's web
cam's to up load continually. Changed the rename on server (use temp
file) feature to turn back on with each up load.
Version 2.6.8, Removed
SOME of the restrictions with using the FREE Version in place for adding
a New.net component in to the installer. It's a good trade-off I'm sure
you'll agree. Also altered the closing connection routine so that people
know what's going on when the program looks as though it's frozen. The
maximum wait time has been reduced to 20 seconds to avoid confusion.
Version 2.6.6, Altered
the up and down buttons on the upload freq and warm up delays to make
them more logical. Added the facility to CLOSE down the main AOL window
that appears after EasyFreeWebCam has disconnected from the Internet
after an upload (only if EasyFreeWebCam instigated the connection in the
first place). Removed the minimize button and changed the behavior of
the CLOSE 'X' button to minimize to the tray instead. This seems to be
the norm these days for programs that mainly run as a service.
Version 2.6.4 to 2.6.5.
Added a new logging feature for trouble shooting. Sorted out a couple of
bugs with the upload routine.
Version 2.6.3, EasyFreeWebCam can now stream (or virtually stream)
images on the web page. Once you set the upload frequency BELOW 1 minute
e.g. 30 seconds, it will auto enable the streaming mode. You can upload
as fast as every 5 seconds.
Version 2.6.2, Fixed a
security issue with EasyFreeWebCam. Also added a safety measure for IF
your FTP server doesn't allow file renaming. If you have been getting an
error saying 'Error during rename of temp file' then this will now be
resolved in this release. Easy Web Cam NO LONGER uses the clipboard
at all, we are now using a new video component for capture. Motion
detection added too.
Version 2.5.9 to 2.6.1.
Various additions and alterations incl restoration of clipboard contents
during capture and upload.
Version 2.5.8, Our new address has been updated in the software. Also
fixed a problem with EasyFreeWebCam staying resident in memory even

Version 2.5.7 Added a new
FTP engine which now fully supports Passive FTP connections. If you are
behind a firewall or NAT then you will need to use Passive mode (which
is enabled as default now).
Version 2.5.3 to 2.5.6,
Added a few minor features. Updated this help file a lot to include more
info about Firewalls and Proxy servers. Removed the annoying ad banners
that were placed on the desktop. Added a great new Proxy setup wizard.
Version 2.5.1 to 2.5.2,
Fixed an issue with multiple instances of the software loading with
windows. Also fixed an issue with the window now loading in the right
place when Windows starts. Finally made this software compatible with
Multiple monitors (Windows 98SE onwards feature). The web cam now stores
the last 100 images it has taken for you to view as a slide show (or
manually if you wish).
Version 2.5.0, Great new version, added a new video capture component
which works no matter what. The old component didn't update the image if
the window was minimised or the screen saver was active etc.. The new
component will work with the screen saver running, if the window is
hidden etc.. This version now lets you type in up to 19 characters of
text that you wish to appear stamped in to your image when it is saved
or uploaded. Also changed the task bar icon for EasyFreeWebCam to a
colourful yellow icon. This version will now check over the Internet to
see whether there is an update available for your software.
